Kelvin is a Partner in Mawere Sibanda’s Corporate Advisory/M&A practice group. He has vast experience in dealing with mergers and acquisitions (M&As), private equity investments, corporate restructurings, capital raising projects, Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), as well as advising on general commercial and contractual issues. As part of his transactional experience, Kelvin has acted for both buyers and sellers in M&A deals across various sectors, often involving companies listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange. He has advised banks, public institutions, and private companies on capital raising transactions, including public offerings which have ultimately been awarded Prescribed Asset Status. He regularly advises local pension funds in private equity and infrastructure investments. He also advises private investors (both local and foreign) on PPPs in a wide range of sectors, including transport, infrastructure, and the recently legalized cannabis industry. He is also regarded as a go-to lawyer for startup companies and small to medium enterprises in Zimbabwe, on general commercial, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance matters which affect businesses of that size.
