Alec Muza has been reappointed to the International Trademark Association (INTA) International Amicus Committee for the 2020-2021 term. According to INTA, “the International Amicus Committee provides expertise concerning trademark and other IP-related laws to courts and trademark offices around the world through the submission of amicus curiae (“friend of the court”) briefs or similar filings. Work includes advocating for acceptance of amicus briefs, evaluation of requests to file, monitoring leading cases, and drafting of submissions.”
Alec Muza is a partner at MawereSibanda and head of our IP practice area. He is currently a member of the International Amicus Committee for 2018-2019 and previously a member of the Young Practitioners Committee.
