Zimbabwe: WIPO Patent Drafting Course for African Patent Agents
The World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) organised a patent drafting course for African patent agents with the assistance of the Japan Patent Office. The course was hosted by ARIPO and officially opened on 4 September 2017. (Photo by ARIPO)
Course participants included academics, patent lawyers and national office officials from Botswana, Malawi, Zambia, Namibia, Kenya, Ghana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Sudan, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania and Zimbabwe. The course was coordinated by Mr Atif Bhatti (WIPO) and speakers included Mr Masaharu Kizu (Japan), Mr Robert J. Sayre (USA) and Mr Bastiaan Koster (South Africa), all experts in the field of patent law.
